Notice of Election
Notice is hereby given that
following the resignation of Commissioner Susan Jones an election to fill the
vacancy of ONE member of the Commissioners of the
Village district of Laxey for a period of office expiring 30th April 2016 will be held on 17th
January 2013 .
Forms of nomination may be
obtained from the undersigned at the Commissioners office, 35
New Road , Laxey, during normal office hours,* during
the period up to, and including the 20th December 2012 .
The form of nomination paper
includes instructions as to its completion and signing. A nomination paper duly
completed must be delivered to the undersigned before 5.00pm on the 20th December
2012 at the
Commissioners Office, 35 New Road , Laxey ,
IM4 7BG
In the event of a contested election, polling will take
place on Thursday 17th
January 2013 .
Copies of the Local Elections
Act 1986, the Representation of the People Act 1995, the Local Election Rules
2003 (as amended) and the Local Elections (Absent Voters) Regulations 2008 (as
amended) are available from the Tynwald Library, Legislative Buildings Douglas , IM1 3PW
