Following
recent incidents of coastal flooding the Department of Infrastructure
commissioned JBA Consultants to carry out a Concept Design Report in connection
with Coastal & Harbour Flooding.

As
regards Laxey, the report in summary states that in respect of the Harbour and
Promenade, options are to raise the Harbour wall, provide a second set back
Promenade wall, or place rock revetments.
Following
a series of public meeting the Department wishes to engage with all interested
parties to provide feedback on options to protect Laxey Sea Front and Harbour
and requests that local residents and any other interested parties provide
feedback via the Local Authority.
