Emergencies - Flooding & blocked gullies

To avoid any confusion, please note that flooding and emergencies are still dealt with by the Department of Infrastructure. If you have concerns about the safety of your property you should ring the Department of Infrastructure on 850000 during working hours or 672000 outside of these times.
For clarity, the Commissioners are responsible for routine gulley cleansing and road sweeping on secondary roads. The Authority has a duty to ensure the gulley pot is clear.
If, after being cleaned it is found that pipework from the gulley is blocked then the Commissioners will contact the Department of Infrastructure to arrange for it to be either rodded or jetted.
